Check a GeoSeal photo
Drop the original photo or the evidence bundle (ZIP) exported from GeoSeal. The page checks the fingerprints, the device signature and the custody log.
Checked on this device. Nothing is uploaded: this page is not allowed to send data anywhere.
What this check proves
- The photo is unchanged. The SHA-256 fingerprints of the original and the stamped copy match the ones sealed when the photo was taken.
- The record is genuine. The sealed record (time, place, device, checks) carries a valid ES256 signature from the phone's device key.
- Nothing was slipped in or removed. The record sits in an unbroken, hash-chained custody log.
The page does not check the phone's hardware attestation certificates, and it cannot tell whether the scene in front of the camera was staged. "Recorded at capture" shows what the phone itself noted, such as GPS age, network time and mock-location detection.
You can also check a bundle with standard tools: the README inside every bundle explains how, using sha256sum and openssl.
